Company Update
We hope this message finds you well. With a heavy heart, we inform you of a recent legal matter involving Muchacha. After a lengthy 13-month lawsuit in the court of chancery of the state of Delaware in the United States (case # 2022-0203-PAF), the courts ruled in favor of the owners of Muchacha. The judgment found liability for fraud, theft of intellectual property (IP), and breach of fiduciary duty. As a result, Ms. Diana Hoyos is prohibited from using, selling, pledging, assigning, transferring, or hypothecating the Intellectual Property of Muchacha.
We are also writing to inform you about a recent matter that has come to our attention. It has come to light that Ms. Diana Hoyos has been falsely presenting herself as the founder and owner of Muchacha, which is not the case.
We understand that this revelation may raise questions and concerns regarding the authenticity and integrity of our company. We assure you that Ms. Hoyos has no affiliation with Muchacha, and her claims are entirely false. We regret any confusion or distress that this situation may have caused.
At Muchacha, we take great pride in our transparency and dedication to providing you with exceptional service. We are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence you have placed in us. Please rest assured that our team is working diligently to address this issue and prevent further misrepresentation.
We deeply regret that such an unfortunate situation has unfolded, impacting all of us, including our cherished clients. We kindly request your patience as we navigate the reorganization of the company and ownership process to ensure its stability and integrity moving forward.
Regrettably, Ms. Hoyos took actions that have caused significant financial damage. She emptied our bank accounts and transferred the funds outside the United States. Furthermore, she continues to utilize our intellectual property to generate revenue through newly formed online accounts. To address this grave matter, we have initiated a criminal investigation encompassing Ms. Hoyos, her business partners, and those who have assisted her in her unauthorized activities over the past year.
We fully understand your concerns as we strive to move forward from this distressing ordeal. However, we must inform you that we cannot honor any orders placed with Ms. Hoyos on any online accounts until June 15th, 2023.
Please know that we are working diligently to rectify the situation, regain stability, and rebuild the compromised trust. We remain committed to serving you with the highest professionalism and quality that Muchacha has always been known for.
We sincerely appreciate your continued support and understanding during this challenging time. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our dedicated support team. We are here to assist you in any way we can.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Muchacha Team - Monica, Isabel & Camila
